<Answer> a. Jesus taught in Matthew 6:19-24 that when individuals have confidence in God, the sole treasure would be in heaven (Keener, 2011). Matthew 6:19-20 says that we should not lay up for our riches on earthly possessions, wherever moths and corrosion ruin and burglars breach in and plunder, instead build up for ourselves in eternal life, in which no moth nor vermin ravages and robbers do not sneak in or thieve. Within n the passage, materialistic things are useless. Heaven has eternal riches. Jesus demonstrated whatever he accomplished and juxtaposed Earth’s wealth to Christ’s to highlight God. <Answer> b. The idea of Matthew 6:19–24 could be viewed separately from a Christian perspective by any atheist. The explanation is that an atheist prefers to appreciate one’s existence on Earth since there is nothing left to enjoy beyond execution. Therefore, an atheist may value their treasures and their materialistic possessions more than a Christian would. The treasures an atheist has may also determine what their worth is as a person. For example, how many materialistic possessions an atheist has and how much money value their possessions are worth can demonstrate how wealthy they are.
