Assessment Task 1: Week 5 In-class Test (15%)

Due Date: In-class test: Week 5

Weighting: 15%.

The Week 5 in-class test consists of an MCQ online quiz of 15 questions. These questions will be selected from the assigned homework questions..

Assessment Task 2: Group Assignment, Weeks 10 and 11 (40%)

Part A = marks 20% Due Date: Week 10-11, Total length approx. 20 minutes

Part B = marks 25% Due Date: Friday, May 28 2021, Length 1500- 2000 words

Assessment 2A – Group Presentation

This assignment will help you to achieve unit learning outcomes 1-6.

This is a group assignment, working in a team is an important business skill. So too is the ability to make a convincing, persuasive presentation. This assignment provides you with the opportunity to develop both of these skills.

Groups will be required to select a Organisational Behaviour (OB) topic covered in weeks 1-9, identify an OB challenge and analyse how best this challenge can be overcome to achieve organisational objectives. Groups can use specific organisations to illustrate theoretical points. Each member should cover at least one topic from the selected chapter. Groups are required to inform the lecturer of their topic no late than Week 6.

Any student who is not in a group due to continual absence from class may be required to do this assignment individually.

Presentation structure

Introduction- briefly describe the purpose and structure of the presentation

Outline slide – the key point of this presentation

Body Slides: The body slides cover theory and practical application of each topics. Each member should have 2-3 slides.

Conclusion- summary of the key points and a concluding statement about the importance of the consumer decision-making process.

Assessment Task 2- Group Report Writing (1500-2000 words)

Groups can use specific organisations to illustrate theoretical points. Each member should cover at least one topic from the selected chapter.

Group work is the collective responsibility of the entire group, and if one member in the group is temporarily unable to contribute, the group should be able to reallocate responsibilities to keep to schedule. In the event of longer-term illness or other serious problems involving a member of group, it is the responsibility of the other team members to notify the Unit Convenor or relevant tutor.

Group submission must be submitted with an Assignment coversheet, containing the name and ID numbers of all members in the group and signed by all members of the group.

All group members must be satisfied that the work has been correctly submitted. Any penalties for late submission will generally apply to all group members, not just the person who submitted.
