Although one of the assignment briefs (due week 6) relishes in Long Term Care (LTC), this can be your introduction into the delivery of LTC. Although years ago, LTC really just meant nursing homes, many forms and levels of assisted living exist today and LTC insurance is there to pay for it. Right?? Is there a better way to take care of seniors (or others) that need assistance?

The Healthcare workers who are on the front lines battling COVID are indeed a special population (not covered in this week’s chapters in the book. See the readings and do some investigating.
Although I am not on the front line, many of my friends are. It is truly remarkable how some people can do what they do, day after day, for other people. We can (and have) cheered for them, finally gave them PPE, but really, what can we do for their health after this is over. Do we/Can we treat it like PTSD?
