This Chapter deals with how families transition to parenthood.  There is no reading outside your text.  Please write a 250 – 300 word journal entry in essay after interviewing two of your family members from your parents’ generation and your grandparents; generation.  Ask them about four of the following topics:   1) the responsibilities of parents to their children,  2)  if children have responsibilities to their family and what those are, 3) what they feel is the ideal age for marriage, 4) what they feel is the ideal family size, 5) how having children affect a marriage or even a co-habiting relationship, 6) what is the ideal family size, and 7) how do the roles of mothers and fathers differ?
