Classmate 1:

The team leaders and team member collaboration and communication is the key to the success of the project. Hence, the organizations must ensure that there is an open communication system and where the information is passed and discussed in detail between the team members. We can see how every group will have a certain number of members where everyone has a unique personality and ideology and maintaining peace and communications without any misunderstandings is a quite challenging task for the company. Hence, for the teams to reach the expectations of the company and excel in the tasks assigned to them the organization needs to have certain conditions in place like having specific deadlines to accomplish the tasks given to them (Elizabeth, Claire, Thomas, & Amy, 2014).

Also, one must ensure that punctuality is maintained in the office. The conditions like every employee must be reporting their day to day tasks in a timely manner to their respective managers, etc should be in place to ensure that the employees are not lazy and are being productive. Also, the office environment greatly influences the employee’s productivity like any misunderstandings between the employees, showing partiality, not giving respect to the employees, or not attending to their problems, and not providing safe working environments are all some issues that will affect the productivity of the employees (Elizabeth, Claire, Thomas, & Amy, 2014).

Hence, the organization must design certain company policies and ensure that everyone follows those policies. This will create a sense that everybody is treated equally, and no partiality exists in the company. A clear promotional policy will also clear all misunderstandings if any in the team and overall, in the organization. As a manager, it is the responsibility to ensure that the performance of the team members is not disappointing. Hence, to boost the employees and encourage them to perform well I will always give them the freedom to make their decisions and think creatively. I will also reward such employees with promotions and encourage them to be more productive. Here, to enhance the efficiency of the teams and the teamwork I will reward them suitably. The rewards like if any team successfully completes the projects within the stipulated time and budget and also efficiently utilized the resources then I will openly announce the team’s efforts and their achievement to all the employees and also reward them suitably that will encourage them to continue in the same way and also it motivates the other teams to perform in a better way (Elizabeth, Claire, Thomas, & Amy, 2014).

Classmate 2:

Team work is usually referred to as the combined effort of all the team members towards a common goal and trying to achieve it in the specified time period. Teamwork is preferred over the ages when compared to individual efforts in any field. This not only improves the relation between the team members but also improves productivity, efficiency of the team which yields higher results in shorter time. There are various conditions that add to this scenario which are discussed here later. Sharing the workload with colleagues will not only help the individual but will also allow the team to complete the assigned work on time. Bringing multiple minds together to complete a task or for a solution is also helpful. When brainstorming sessions are conducted in a team, this will give space to invite ideas or thoughts from all the members and come to a solution faster. Businesses are usually unstable and people in this area see highs and lows. During this time, it is only the support of colleagues that will help each other and the business in turn. 

Cross-training is another method usually employed for improved productivity. As part of this technique a member from each group is given training across all the platforms to support the team in emergency. This method is to be implemented carefully by choosing the right capable person or could go in vain. Allowing people to learn skills from each other not only improves the technical strength but also encourages healthy relation among the team. In today’s world celebrating diversity in the team is the key aspect to encourage teamwork. Diversity can be in the technical skills, cultural diversity or individuals. When properly nurtured and everyone is given the space, it will be added benefit to the team. As part of the diversity and also in general, identifying individual strengths and giving one their own space to grow long with the team will not only be productive but also rewarding.

Classmate 3:

Productive teams ensure that an organization is able to realize its overall goals and objectives. Team productivity can be defined as the assessment of the tasks carried out to attain qualitative output is a specified time frame. It comprises enhancing employee satisfaction and furnishing them with proper tools to conduct the activities with effectiveness. Team productivity can be accessed by having a clear cut understanding of what the team has to achieve by conducting their activities. There should be a precise description of the input and the anticipated outputs when the team members collaborate. The team objectives that are developed have to be achievable. Unrealizable objectives will hinder the team from enhancing their productivity and efficiency. Teamwork is essential to accomplish the objectives and assist in deciding upon the choices to realize them. The following are the essential features that will enable teams to efficiently enhance their productivity and realize their objectives. These features will enable the teams to excel.

1. Communicative: One of the most vital elements that a team should encompass is an efficient communication channel for correspondence. Proper communication aids in realizing the team’s objectives as the team members will be able to correspond regarding the activities and pass the required information among themselves (Kozlowski & Ilgen, 2016). Realizing the objectives would require the team members to share their insights, knowledge, opinions, and suggestions with one another. 

2. Considerate and supportive: The team members must be respectful towards the opinions and feelings of the others. They should support one another and encourage them to realize the team goals collectively. The saying a chain is as strong as its vulnerable connection holds true for a team. Team members shouldn’t be competitive with the other members but should collaborate efficiently. 

The team manager must work efficiently in allotting the work among the team members to realize the goals and objectives. Any threats that can jeopardize team productivity and efficiency must be dealt with adequately. One of the major threats for team effectiveness and productivity is the loss of team members. When employees tend to leave the team, there will be an interruption in realizing goals, as it would take time for new members to be integrated into the team and learn how to do the tasks. One of the ways to decrease the threat to employee performance is to offer flexibility. Employees must be offered a platform to test and grow their skills (Kirkman, 2016). This will make them feel content with their work and foster them to produce more efficient results. Team members will tend to work well with their teammates, share insights, and help them grow. Another method is to reward the employees for their performance. Employees praised for their hard work and efficiency will tend to produce the same results, which would foster the other team members to work efficiently (Kirkman, 2016). Every team member should be given equal importance, and biasedness shouldn’t be shown. They should be given an equal opportunity to showcase their skills and expertise to attain the team’s overall objectives. 

As a manager, I would appreciate and praise the team member for their efficient work and be grateful for their input. I would furnish them with all the flexibility required to grow and enhance their skills and expertise. Providing employees with the required resources and necessities so that they can work even more efficiently would be beneficial to the overall team development (Rousseau & Aubé, 2014). Moreover, I would like to reward the team by taking them on an outing or to team lunches as a gesture of gratitude. I would be thankful to my team members and convey my gratitude by thanking them for what they are doing and have done. Trust is a vital aspect for a team, and therefore, I would like to show my trust in the team more often.
